Helen Tracy (Boo Boo) Scarborough, age 58, a lifelong resident of Pass Christian, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 in Gulfport.
On September 16, 1962 we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Our joy quickly turned to concern. Tracy was a fighter and she got through this obstacle, as she did many more in her life. Tracy loved life and was loved by many. She attended New Hope Center for Exceptional Children and Harrison County Center for Exceptional Children. She worked at Gulf Coast Industries. She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and bowling with the Gulf Coast Alley Cats on a team. She liked to paint Bird Houses and to play cards, especially Rummy and UNO, with her caregivers that came to her house to assist her (Clodia & Mylanta). These ladies were great with Tracy. We were so blessed to have had Tracy for 58 years, and she will forever be in our lives.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Fred W. (Roscoe) Scarborough Jr.; and her Grandparents, Clarence (Pete) Peterson, Elsie and Juju Gilbert, Freddie Sr. and Mamie (Petie) Scarborough.
She is survived by her Mother, Catheleen Peterson Scarborough; Sister, Denice Perniciaro (Sammy); Brother, Brian Scarborough (Regina); Niece, Rebecca Broussard; Nephew, David Scarborough (Lacy); Great Niece, Tanleigh Broussard; Great Nephews, Creed Broussard and Sawyer Scarborough; Step-Niece, Destiny Viars (Bryan); Step Nephews, Jarren Lizana (Breanna), and Dustin Lizana. Tracy had so many Aunts and Uncles, as well as many other family members and friends, that loved her dearly and she loved them.
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Most Holy Trinity Church (Kiln Delisle Rd) from 10 am to 12 pm, Mass will be at 12 pm. Burial will follow the service at the New Delisle Cemetery (Ball Park Rd).
