Helen Hauer Fayard, age 86, of Long Beach, passed away on August 23, 2012 in Long Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Fayard; her parents, William A. Hauer and Helena Fruight Hauer; a daughter, Helen Ann Fayard; a sister, Doris Hauer Fayard; a twin brother, William ""Billy"" Hauer; a son in law, Jay Kleinman; and a special friend for many years, Myron Smith.
She is survived by her children, Mary Murphy Kleinman, Kathy Fayard, Susan Fulton (Kim), and David Fayard (Elise), all of Long Beach; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Julie Murphy of Long Beach, Helen Ann ""Annie"" Murphy of Gulfport, Jessica Fulton of Long Beach, Josh Fulton (Katie) of Long Beach, Remy, Margaux, and Wolfgang Kleinman of Long Beach; and her two dogs, Oliver and Molly.
Born in Algiers, LA, she moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast at a young age and has been a lifelong resident of Long Beach. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. In her younger years, she was a telephone operator before becoming a homemaker.
Her passion and love were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her trips to the coast casinos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach, with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the Mass. Burial will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.
