Helen R. Brownlee

Helen R. Brownlee, resident of Anniston, Alabama, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on May 22, 2011, the exact date that her beloved husband, Honey, died in 2000.
Helen was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on October 14, 1923. She had been a very active member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport. She taught children's Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was an avid gardener.
Helen lost her home, built in 1801, to Hurricane Katarina and has spent the years since in New Mexico and then Alabama with her daughter Dottie and son-in-law, Ron.
Helen is survived by 3 children, Dottie (Ron) Dickert of Anniston, Bob Brownlee of Guatemala and Randy (Linda) Brownlee of Gulfport, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patty, 2 sisters, her husband and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 1:30-3 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel at 3 p.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
