Hazel Aucoin

Hazel Marie Roberts Aucoin, 84 of Biloxi passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 5, 1940 in Biloxi to the late Eugene & Marie “Sweet” Roberts. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noel Aucoin Sr; siblings, Buddy Roberts, Louise Irwin, James Roberts, Beatrice Uher, Helen Lang, George “Flitter” Roberts, Ronnie Roberts, Roland Roberts, and Pat Roberts.   

Hazel enjoyed taking trips to the casino. She was an avid University of Alabama Fan. Hazel loved spending time with family and her favorite was having everyone over for Christmas. She worked as a crossing guard for many years at St Martin High School, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Hazel later worked as a security guard for Boomtown Casino and retired in 2006. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. Hazel will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Hazel is survived by her loving children, Noel (Patty) Aucoin, Toni Jo Aucoin, Patrick (Amanda) Aucoin, and Jacob Aucoin; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jessica, Drew, Cherish, Tyler, Sydney, Aaron, and Abrey. Hazel also leaves behind to cherish her memory 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Family would like to give a sincere appreciation to her niece, Davie Anne, and the staff at Enhabit Health for their care and compassion to Hazel.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the St. Michaels Catholic Church (177 1^st Street, Biloxi MS).  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Michaels Catholic Church (177 1^st Street, Biloxi, MS).  Graveside Services will be held privately at a later date.
