Hazel I. Alexander, age 77, resident of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2007, in Long Beach.
Mrs. Alexander was a native of Mackeys, N.C. and worked for the Civil Service for 36 years, including being the Assistant to the Navy Exchange Officer. She was a fantastic cook, and was a dedicated military wife and wonderful mother and grandmother. She was what you know the true Southern Lady to be.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Alexander; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Church Hardison; and a sister, Edna Fowler.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by her four children, Sharon Moore of Long Beach, Warren Alexander of Diamondhead and his wife Marca, Diane Streets of Gulfport and her husband Bill, and Paula Davis of Pearl, MS; a brother, Jasper Hardiman of Virginia Beach, VA and his wife Rebecca; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 6:30-9:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 1:15 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment next to her husband will follow services at Biloxi National Cemetery.
