Hayward James Shiyou, age 84, of Pass Christian, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Mr. Shiyou was born to Ceville and Evelyn Ladner Shiyou and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a carpenter by trade and loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Lora Cuevas (Donnie) of Pass Christian, and Kelli Ladner (C.J.) of Pass Christian; brother, Verl Shiyou of Pass Christian; grandchildren, Adam Cuevas, Cassie Cuevas, Erin Ladner, and Tyler Ladner; two great grandchildren, Mason Cuevas and Jakson Cuevas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
