Harry "Hob" Blanton, Sr.

Harry O. Blanton, Sr., age 63, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 in Gulfport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Louise Blanton; sisters, Sherry Blanton Bahm, and Debbie Blanton; and brother, Victor Blanton.

Harry is survived by his wife of 17 years, but together 28 years, Wanda Henley Blanton; children, Corrine Blanton, Harry Blanton, Jr., John David Green, Jr. (Denise), Jessica Warnecke (Chris), Dan Cramer, Jr. (Taylor); his brother, Jimmy Blanton; 8 grandchildren; nephews, Rick Bahm (Michell), and Tim Bahm (Jenny).

He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union and retired from Harrah’s Casino after 18 years.  Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital. Harry was a very strong and loving man.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 10 - 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. A memorial service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
