Harold “Hal” Miller

Harold Eugene (Hal) Miller Jr., born August 11, 1954 in Gulfport, MS, peacefully passed away April 10, 2021, after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.

Hal was lifetime resident of Gulfport, MS and graduated from Gulfport High School. In addition to managing several music venues around the state over the years, Hal was a well-known musician, having played drums for numerous bands on the gulf coast and throughout Mississippi since he was in high school, and most recently with his band "Midnight Magic". For the past 10 years he also worked for Harrison County and as Grounds Supervisor.

Hal was best known for his larger than life personality, and he truly never met a stranger.

Hal was preceded in death by his parents Harold Eugene Miller Sr. and Martha (Marty) Miller, and the love of his life, Bernadette Mares.

He is survived by Carolyne T. Turner (sister), Robert R. Rockco (brother), Linda Miller Sharp (sister), Glenn H. Miller (brother), Lisa Miller Moffett (sister) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.
