Harold William Strickland, died February 2, 2010, at the age of 79 in his home in Ocean Springs, after a long and courageous battle with ParkinsonaÌââ¢s disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Clifford and Audrey Rowcliff Strickland and two brothers, T. C. Strickland and Dr. Sidney (Jack) Strickland.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Arline Strickland and one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Stephen Hurst of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by two grandsons, Jordan and Connor Hurst.
The family would like to extend a very special aÌâÅThank youaÌâ to the Gulf Coast Hospice employees, and also to his very dedicated caregivers.
Respecting his wishes, Harold will be cremated and his ashes scattered over the river he loved so much.
