Mr. Harold C. Hickman, age 87, lifelong resident of Saucier, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011.
Mr. Hickman was born to Pete and Emma Alexander Hickman in 1924. He was a former employee of International Paper Co. in Wiggins and was a member of Saucier Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. ""He was a real good man.""
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Vera Blackwell, Grace Hickman, Maxine Hickman, and Jack Hickman; and his nephews, Peter Murphy and Tim Simmons.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary E. Hickman; son, Harold Vernon Hickman (Nell) of Poplarville; loving brother and sisters, Billy G. Hickman of Saucier, Merle Simmons of Saucier, and Gloria J. Murphy of Gulfport; brother-in-law, Richard Seal of Wiggins; two grandsons, Harold Joseph Hickman (Crystal) and Neil Scott Hickman; and great grandson, Dylan Joseph Hickman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Saucier Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, from 1-2 p.m.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Barney Hickman Cemetery.
