Harold C. "Daddy Harold" Elrod

Harold C. ""Daddy Harold"" Elrod, age 83, of Long Beach, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011.
Mr. Elrod lived most of his life in Long Beach and he owned and operated Elrod Construction
Company. He served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician during WWII. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and enjoyed working, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Darran C. Elrod, parents, James and Dolly Elrod, a sister, Edna Ladner, and a brother, Orvis Elrod.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Faye Curet Elrod, children, Deborah (Frank) LaRosa, Donna (Pat) Scott, and Deanna (Darrell) Suber, 7 grandchildren, Jeri Fayard, Timmy LaRosa, Todd Schepens, Kristy Bankston, Jonathan Suber, Joshua Suber, and Heather Maloney, 9 great-grandchildren, Lexi, Dalton, Andrew, Alyssa, Ashton, Kayleigh, Vincent, Sarah, and Garrett, 2 sisters, Cleo Warden and Eurselene ""Peaches"" Reid, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 720 East Beach Blvd., Long Beach where friends may visit from 9:30 - 11 am.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
