Harold C. Corwin, age 66, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Gulfport.
Harold was born on March 8, 1945, in Auburn, New York. He served in the Army National Guard for a number of years. Harold was a longtime resident of Gulfport and a member of Gulf Haven Mennonite Church. Harold was an auto mechanic on the Coast for 26 years. He was the owner of Harold's Auto Repair which opened in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alice Corwin; son, Timothy Scott Corwin; sisters, Mildred Laury and Sarah Allen; and brother, Johnny Corwin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley Sturgis Corwin of Gulfport; daughters, Wendy Clark (Richard) of Gulfport, and Anita Corwin of Gulfport; heartfelt son, Clifford Doyle of Scipio, New York; granddaughters, Courtney Thibodaux of Gulfport, and Brittany Clark (Jerry Keppler) of Gulfport; great-granddaughter, Adreya Scott of Gulfport; brother, Emerson Corwin (Sue) of Weedsport, New York; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Mike James of Gulfport.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Gulf Haven Mennonite Church, 21497 Mennonite Road, Gulfport, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be offered to Pine Lake Fellowship Camp, 10371 Pinelake Rd., Meridian, MS, 39307.
