Mrs. Gwendlyon (Gwen) Ladnier passed away on the May 11, 2012, in Gulfport, at the age of 54.
She was born on October 13, 1957, to parents, Birl and Birdie Franklin, formerly of Saucier. Gwen was a graduate of Harrison Central High School, and spent a full and fulfilling life as a homemaker, wife, and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Birl Franklin and Birdie Franklin; and brothers, James Kenneth Franklin and Tommy Dean Franklin.
She is survived by her husband, David R. (Buddy) Ladnier of Gulfport; beloved daughters, Jennifer Barber of Gulfport, and Rachel McMurry of Gulfport, three grandchildren; sisters, Mary Louise Cyr of Gulfport and Joan Campton of Westminster, SC; brothers, David Franklin of St. Bernice, IN, Terry Franklin of Morton, MS, and Michael Franklin of Saucier; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Finley Cemetery off Highway 53 in Harrison County.
