Mr. Guy L. Farris, age 51, resident of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011.
Mr. Farris was born in Gulfport to Walter Alton Farris and Doris Ruthea Hunsberger Currie. Before his illness, he worked as shop foreman at Bay Motor Winding. He loved being on the water, fishing and boating with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Betsy Farris; children, Shannon Farris Gottschalk (Jon) of Pass Christian, and Loren Farris (Afton) of Biloxi, and Hallie Farris (Brandon Jones) of Pass Christian; grandchildren, Emily Marie Gottschalk and Hunter Gottschalk; siblings, Vic and Derek Farris, Joan Farris, Lyn Burnaman, and Charissa Currie; and his canine companion, Sam.
A gathering celebrating his life will be held at War Memorial Park in Pass Christian on Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 2-4 p.m.
