Gussy A. Cuevas, 74, of Waveland, died Monday, 8-27-07 in Gulfport.
He was a native and lifelong resident of the coast and was a professional boxer earlier and life. He was retired from the Welders/Pipefitters Local #568, a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, and the BSL Masonic Lodge #429. Mr. Cuevas enjoyed horses, visiting people and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aras and Mary Cuevas and 2 brothers, LeRoy A. and Roy J. Cuevas.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Cuevas, Waveland, 3 children, Rhonda C. Favre, Kiln, Rachalle Cuevas, Mobile, AL, and Pat Cuevas, Waveland,
2 sisters, Pearl Tyner, Lakeshore and Diane Saucier, Hattiesburg, 1 brother, Donny Saucier, Wiggins, 3 special grandchildren, Brooke Keel, Lyndi Leigh Cuevas, and Patrick Brian Cuevas, II, and a special friend of the family, Rhonda K. Fontenot.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 7 to 10 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Canon Hospice, 1520 Broad Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
