Gudrun Prestia

armela Prestia, a native of Flensburg, Germany and a resident of Gulfport, MS, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, in Gulfport, MS. Carmela and Michael G. Prestia were married in 2004. She is survived by Michael G. Prestia, her mother Gudrun Luschert, her sister Katja Luschert, five nieces and nephews, Marie Therese (Axel) and Yentl Veitl of Munich, and Kaja, Nina and Tjark Luschert of Flensburg, as well as two grandnieces, Lucy and Luna Luschert. She is predeceased by her father Heinz Luschert and her sister Britta Veitl. Carmela graduated from Duborg Skole, a private Danish school in Flensburg, attended Karl Wilhelm Law School in Bonn, then earned her BA in technical and legal translations at the Southern University of Denmark. Since 1991, she worked as a legal and technical translator in Danish and German. She enjoyed her translation business, the Gulf Coast beaches, and bicycling.
