Grover aÌ‚â‚Å“Macâ₝ Magee, age 81, went home to be with his Lord on July 14, 2008 in Gulfport, MS. He was a long time resident of Gulfport and owner of Auto Service Center for 30 years. He was also previously employed by John Gimma Chrysler/Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Fate and Mary Smith Magee, his brothers, J.B. Magee, Gerald Magee and Clyde Magee.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbie Magee, 4 children Dianne Fletcher and her husband Rev. Russell Fletcher of Paonia, CO, Sheila Sumrall, Judy Robinson and Tim Magee and his wife Jane, all of Gulfport, MS. 9 grandchildren, Tom Sumrall, Jr and his wife, Penny, Jonathan Dill and his wife Margaret, Shan Colletta and her husband Mike, Priscilla Grissom and her husband Kevin, Jill Moran and her husband Jared, Lauren Magee, Joe Robinson, Jr. and his wife Jamie, Joshua Magee, and Will Magee. Great grandchildren, Tyler Sumrall, Raigen Sumrall, Gretchen Sumrall, Tatum Sumrall, Cade Colletta, Kyle Colletta, Peyton McClain, Calob McClain, Maggie Singleton, Kyler Grissom. His 2 brothers Neal Magee of Prentiss, MS, and Gene Magee of Columbia, MS and 3 sisters in law whom he adored, Brenda Smith, Daisy Polk and Kay Cranford.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions to the GideonaÌ‚â‚â„¢s or Bayou View Baptist Church, 4709 Chamberlain Ave., Gulfport, MS 39507.
Visitation will be held at Bayou View Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 9-11 a.m., with the funeral following at 11 a.m. Dr. Chris King and Brother Eugene Hassler officiating. Rev. Russell Fletcher will officiate at the cemetery.
Interment will be in Pine Ridge Gardens.
