Gregory Gamble

MSgt Gregory Lynn Gamble, USAF Retired, age 79, of D’Iberville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home in D’Iberville.

Gregory was a native of Wisconsin and a longtime resident of the MS. Coast.  He not only retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sgt., but also retired from the Civil service.  During his service in the Air Force,  Gregory received numerous medals including, The Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon, The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal, and The Air Force Commendation Medal.  He proudly served his country, and he will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew him.

Gregory was preceded in death by his wife, Marliene R. Gamble; his mother, Mildred Gamble; his father, Ross Gamble; his brothers, Guyle Gamble and David Gamble; and his sister Sally Swindell.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Ladnier (Donnie), Laurie Shavers (Gail), Denise Gollott, and Deanna Beasley; his son, George B. Markham, III; his sister, Carol Jensen; his 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren

The family would like to thank the SAAD Hospice staff for the care given during their father and grandfathers illness.

A procession to Biloxi National Cemetery will leave from Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service in the National Cemetery in Biloxi, with full military honors being rendered.
