Gordon Anthony Necaise, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on September 11, 1953, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, to Vernon and Betty Jean Necaise, and his life was a testament to the power of humor, love, and unwavering generosity.
Gordon was known for his infectious laughter and an uncanny ability to find humor in even the most ordinary situations. His one-liners, puns, and dad jokes had the power to brighten even the darkest of days. Gordon truly believed that laughter was the best medicine, and he was a master of delivering that prescription with a smile.
As a loving husband, Gordon cherished his wife, Judy, and their journey together was marked by shared laughter, adventures, and a deep bond that weathered all of life's ups and downs.
Gordon was a dedicated father to his children, Gordon Jr, Jennifer, David, Nicole, Cindy, and Robert and his influence on their lives was immeasurable. He provided guidance, wisdom, and a strong moral compass, teaching them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience.
Gordon was a proud Papa to Tyler, Connor, Jade, Joanie, Stetson, Al, Nicholas, Maygan, Ashlee Rae, Brittany, Shayla, Tony and Braylan and he relished every moment he spent with them. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and lessons that will continue to shape their lives.
Technical Sergeant “Flash” Necaise was dedicated to his country and spent twenty years in the US Air Force and was known for his commitment to excellence, innovation, and integrity. He was not just a colleague but a mentor and a friend to many in his field. Flash’s last position in the military was as a recruiter for the Air National Guard in Jackson, MS and it was his most rewarding title he ever held as he single-handedly changed the shape of the Air Force. Immediately following his Air Force career he was the first enlisted Junior ROTC instructor at Madison Central High School in Madison Mississippi. He cherished this role and the impact he had on the lives of so many young adults.
As we remember Gordon, let us not only mourn his passing but also celebrate the remarkable life he lived. His spirit, humor, and love will forever echo in our hearts, serving as a reminder to find joy in every moment and to share our laughter and love generously with others.
Gordon may have left this world, but his legacy will continue to inspire us. In his memory, may we strive to live our lives with the same warmth, laughter, and generosity that defined his remarkable journey.
