Gloria Shaffer

Gloria A. Shaffer, age 59, of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, in Gulfport.

Gloria was born in Tiptonville, Tennessee, and has been a long-time resident of Gulfport. She earned her GED from State Community College. Gloria has worked as a Customer Service Rep with Lowes, and as a Seamstress with Hardrock Casino and with the Light House for the Blind. She enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV, going on motorcycle rides for charitable events, and attending State National Guard Convention Dinners. She was a very loving soul that will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Humfress; her father, Dallas Humfress; and her brother, Danny Humfress.  Survivors include her husband of 18 years (best friends for 28 years), Kenneth J. Shaffer; her fur babies, Abby and Ginger; and her brothers, Roy Humfress and Ricky Humfress.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Following services, Gloria will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
