Gloria Audrey Oehmichen, was welcomed into her heavenly home on September 18, 2024. 

A native of Wilmington, DE, Gloria moved to New Orleans, LA, when her family relocated in 1947. She attended John McDonogh H.S. and was offered a nursing scholarship upon graduation. She opted instead to wed Robert Allen Oehmichen (Bob), in 1955. During their life journey, they lived in Kenner, Destrehan, Monroe, LA, and Hattiesburg MS, before making their last move to Gulfport, MS in 2023. Gloria was the office manager at Schmidt Homes, for two decades. She often volunteered for the Bonnabel H.S. Band Boosters, Bonnabel H.S. Speech and Debate Team and supported her children in scouting. Gloria graciously attended several events and launchings for Avondale Shipyards during Bobs career. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband Bob, son Mark Oehmichen (Terri), daughter Michelle Oehmichen Clark (Chris), a brother Rodney H. Scotton, six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a 2:00 graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 8910 Carl Legett Road, Gulfport, MS on Saturday, September 28, 2024. In case of rain, the service will be held indoors at Floral Hills. A repast gathering will follow afterwards in Long Beach, MS.
