Glenna LosKamp

July 23, 1931 — March 31, 2017

Glenna Faye Hall LosKamp, 85, passed away March 31, 2017. She was a third-generation resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, where she was born July 23, 1931 to John Fort and Gladys Conn Hall. She attended Gulfport High School and Gulf Park College. Glenna invested in the Gulfport community by working as a legal secretary, raising a family, and serving in various local charities and organizations.
Glenna was a member of First Baptist Church, Gulfport, from the cradle roll to the Senior Adult Ministry, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized as a young teen. Through her years of service there she taught Sunday School and Training Union, volunteered in the nursery, Vacation Bible School, and as a youth ministry parent.
On July 1st, 1956 she married Edward Charles LosKamp and enjoyed 36 years of marriage until his death in 1993. She is survived by their son, David LosKamp and wife Nola of Gulfport, and grandsons David LosKamp, Jr. (D.J.) and Sterling Moore; and their daughter, Kathy LosKamp Cunningham and husband Curt of Pace, Florida and granddaughters Melissa and Beth Cunningham. She is also survived by granddaughters Brianna Eaton and Kristi Eaton Rutledge and their mother Cindy Duke, great-granddaughters Emma Favre and Aubrey Ella Rutledge, and a large extended family that she cherished.
Glenna Faye, or "Mimi" as many called her, had a servant's heart abundantly filled with the love and care that she spent her life pouring out, not only on her immediate family but also her extended family, friends, neighbors, and especially all the children who crossed her path. Many of those children have returned as adults to her back door, where everyone was welcomed in to share a coke and some memories, and experience her loving kindness and practical approach to life once again.
The family would like to give thanks for the prayers and support of family and friends and for the compassionate care extended by Dr. Louis Varner and his staff; Dr. Edwin Davidson; and the staff at Memorial Hospital.
