Gladys C. Young

Mrs. Gladys C. Young, age 96, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Young was a native of Carson, Mississippi, and has been a long-time resident of Gulfport. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lizana, where in past years, was an active member and taught Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Young; her parents, Robert and Cora Baker; and her 4 siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Harrison; her granddaughters, Tina Dodd (Scott) and Dana Ruiz (Jimmy); her 3 great-grandchildren, Anthany S. Dodd (Rebecca), Erin Ruiz and Alicia Ruiz; and her 6 great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Brian Dean Johnson, Ray Anthony McGee, Eli Jon Landry, Abel Elijah Bevans, Scarlett Michelle Dodd, and Amaya Ennis. She was greatly loved and will be missed.

Visitation and services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  

Mrs. Young will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
