Gladys Parker

Gladys Elaine Parker, age 78, of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Parker, Sr.; her parents, Woodrow and Alice Breland; her brothers, Eugene Curtis Breland, and Edward Deters; her niece, Diane Deters Harris; her nephew, Jimmy Breland; and her son in law, Steven Thamart.

Gladys is survived by her children, William Westbrook (Donna), Paul Westbrook, Eugenia Thamert, and Cayce Jenkins; her siblings, Joyce Deters, Mary Wheeler, Geraldine Richardson (Ernie); her grandchildren, Shiree Westbrook (Miguel), Greg Page (Ashley), Chance Westbrook (Bristi), Randyall Westbrook, Rachel Westbrook, Kelli Page (Casey), Jonathon Westbrook, Heidi Rouse (Robbie), Levi Walker (Tahnicca), Lani Freemyer, Connor Westbrook, Dakota Westbrook, Janae Heath (Ryan), Denver Romero, Summer Impey (Jason), and Christine Poston; 25 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren

“Gladys loved her morning coffee, dancing, and could cook like no other. You’d never catch her without a peppermint, solitary game or a good word book. She was full of life and loved her family like no other. She was the only one who taught us about time travel and irony. She sure was a feisty one, but her heart was pure like no other.”

Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS 39503. Burial will follow at Perkinston Cemetery.
