""""Rocky"""" Gladys M. MacDonald, age 96, passed away on March 15, 2008 in Ocean Springs, MS. She was born on April 28, 1911 in Montreal, Canada, and became a citizen of the United States in 1935. Mrs. MacDonald was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She moved to Gulfport in 1971 where she resided until Hurricane Katrina took her home. She then moved to Ocean Springs. Mrs. MacDonald was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church. She was an artist, and """"Rocky's"""" art was lovingly done for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by husbands Rex Rockhill, James Jay, William Seaton and John MacDonald; a daughter, Jean Kaiser; one sister, Beryl Beaufoy; and a granddaughter, Kim Rockhill.
She is survived by her son, Jim Rockhill, of Glendale, WI; four grandsons, Jeffrey Kaiser, Andy Kaiser, Todd Rockhill, all of Milwaukee, WI, and Jay Rockhill of St. Augustine, FL; several great-grandchildren; and special friends, John & Lila Martin.
Friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. Honorary pall bearers will be her son, her four grandsons, and Mr. John Martin.
