Gladys Hill

Gladys Rita Hill, age 95 of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021.

She was a native of Pass Christian and attended Pass High School.  Gladys was an employed by Harrison County School System and was a secretary at Pineville Elementary.

Gladys was preceded in death by her son, Dale Hill; her husband of over 50 years, Lawrence "Sonny" Hill; her brother, Walter Koenenn; and her sisters, Viviian Bergeron and Becky McGuire.

She is survived by her children, Candace Krohn, Larry Hill, Steve Hill, Alan Hill, and Kevin Hill; her 14 grandchildren; her 29 great grandchildren; her 9 great great grandchildren; and her special niece, Kathy Pitre.

Glady was an obsessive mother and cook.  We will miss her dinners.  She made the best potato salad, shrimp, and eggplant around and make sure everyone ate.  She always had a pitcher of sweet tea for her company.  She was a one of a kind "woman".

She loved traveling and was always ready to go visit friends and family or just take a ride with someone else to join in their adventure.  She made a lot of memories with so many.  We will always cherish the time we had together.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, followed by the interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
