Gisela Powers

Gisela W. Powers, 81, of Biloxi passed away on February 26, 2021, in Jackson, MS.

Mrs. Powers was a resident of Biloxi for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting and knitting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and Aunt who will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis B. Powers; parents, Wilhelm and Else Muhl; a son, John W. Powers; great-grandson, Aiden Claybaker; brothers, Erwin, Manfred and Udo Muhl; and sister, Roswitha Blasius.

She is survived by her children, Lorraine Claybaker of Idaho Falls, ID, Heidi (Mitch) Thornton of Florence MS, Joey (Maria) Powers of Pueblo, CO, and Jeffrey B. Powers of Biloxi; grandchildren: Christopher Claybaker, Sarah Claybaker (Jason), Tasheena Powers, JT Powers, Anna Powers, Katherine Powers, Elijah Powers, and Jacob Powers; great-grandchildren: Robert (Evan) Eckles, Ethan McDonald, Jonathan Claybaker, KaraLynn Claybaker, Andrew Claybaker, Mia Claybaker, and Emma Claybaker; sisters, Gudrun, Erna, Susie, Heidi, and Hildegard; a very special sis, Lorraine Ellis; adored brother-in-law, Earl Shaneyfelt (Kerry) and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 2 - 4 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., West Jackson County. A private interment will take place in Biloxi National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to one's favorite charity.
