Gisela Rother Kilroy, age 73, resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, April 30, 2007, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Kilroy was a native of Bad Kreuznach, Germany and had been a resident of the United States since 1958. She moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1964. She bowled in league play at Mid City Bowling Lanes for 26 years. She was very active in St. James Home School Association, was involved in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and was an avid gardener and card player.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josef and Hilda Scherer Rother and two brothers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert Kilroy of Gulfport; Children, Joan A. Higley of Dallas, TX and her husband, Robert, James E. Kilroy of Dallas, TX, and Robert I. Kilroy of Indian Trail, NC and his wife Theresa; Sister, Karen Parr of Germany and a brother, Heinz Rother of Germany; grandchildren, Melissa Bloch, Jason Higley, Michelle Higley, Michael Kilroy, Travis Kilroy, Sarah Kilroy; Great grandchild, Kelsey P. Bloch; Stepgrandchildren, Terri and Jamie Deloach; and her beloved family pet, Dutchess.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at the Riemann family's GULF COAST FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road, Gulfport where friends may call from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial at Biloxi National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
