Gilbert Lee """"Big G"""" James, age 54, resident of the Dedeaux community, died on Monday, November 20, 2006, in Dedeaux.
Mr. James was a lifelong resident of the Dedeaux community, he announced softball games, and was equipment manager for Fantasy Productions. He was a known figure at the Broke Spoke in Kiln and was the #1 Green Bay Packer and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. """"Big G"""" was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who will all miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Archie James, his stepfather, Andiess Ladner, and his brother, Evan Lusich.
Mr. James is survived by his mother, Essie Ladner of Pass Christian; siblings, Sherry Perkins, Sandra Vance, Andy Ladner, Lorraine Vance, Regina Beeson, all of Dedeaux, and Tamela McCullar of Spring, TX; and special friends, Lenny and Jolene Ladner of Dedeaux.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006, at the Riemann family's GULF COAST FUNERAL HOMES, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, where friends may visit from 4-9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
