Gilbert Phillip (Gil) Bleau, age 57, a resident of Waveland, MS passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 in Gulfport, MS.
Gil was born in N. Adams, MA on December 9, 1950. He has been a coast resident since 1996. He serverd his country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was of the Catholic Faith.
He coached little league in Williamsport, PA. He also was a professional wrestler know as """"The Executioner"""" Gil had a great love for children and animals. He was well known by riding his wheelchair up Nicholson Ave. over Hwy 90 to Wal-Mart, enjoying may waves and greetings along the way. He will be sadly missed by his cat, """"Bridie"""".
He is preceded in death by his daughter Melanie Jean Bleau; his mother Ethel Harris Bleau; his grandparents, Zenophile Bleau, Bridie O'Carroll Bleau, Gilbert N. Harris and Mabel Aiken Harris.
Survivors include his father, Zenophil P. Bleau of Hudson, N.Y.; his wife Geralyn Bleau of Waveland; his children, Lizzie Richardson of Waveland and Officer Jody Richardson, Bay St. Louis Police Department, and his wife Beth of Bay St. Louis; his siblings, Dana Bleau of Hudson, NY, step-brother Phillip Bleau of North Adams, MA, step-sister Joan Prew of Williamsport, PA, and Emily Bleau of North Adams, MA; and his niece Krista Dallas of Hudson, NY.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until Mass.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Waveland, 322 Gulfside St. Waveland, MS 39576.
The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd. Pass Christian, is in charge of arrangements.
