Gidden """"Pop"""" Lorenzo Staley, age 83 and a resident of Saucier, died on Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Staley was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast and was a member of the Free Church of God Church in Gulfport. He retired from Asplundh Tree Expert Company in Gulfport after many years of service.
Mr. Staley was preceded in death by his parents, Merrit & Helen Perkins Staley; his wife, Mildred Marie Staley and a daughter, Joan Usry.
He is survived by his sons, William """"Bill"""" (Mildred) Staley and Johnnie (Renee) Staley all of Taylorville; his daughters, Linda Ruth Ford of Saucier, Mildred """"Millie"""" (Robert) Reyer of Gulfport, and Mary Catherine (Michael) Roberson of Janice; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 from 6-8pm at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Free Church of God Cemetery in Gulfport.
