He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Wayne Stophel, and his brother, James Buford Puckett.
He is survived by his mother, Etter Mae Stophel; his brothers and sisters, Donny Puckett, Essie Mae Dennis, Carolyn Lawery, Larry Puckett, Zola Mead, and Jill Stophel; and his best friend, Jerry Wheeler.
Memorial donations may be made to the family for transportation expense for burial in Bristol, TN.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport.
