Gerald Royals

Gerald """"Charlie"""" Royals, age 60, of Gulfport, passed away on November 21, 2009 in Gulfport.
Charlie was born to Juanita and Marvin Royals on October 21, 1949, in the Lizana community.
He married the love of his life, Joyce, on August 31, 1968. In 1969, he started his own business, Gerald """"Charlie"""" Royals Construction Company. He was a well-known and respected carpenter for many, many years.
Charlie was a beloved father to his nephew, Paul, who he loved dearly. In his younger days, he enjoyed racing his Shelby Mustang and taking home a few trophies. Charlie liked to hunt and run dogs. The last few years of his life, he enjoyed spending days at his barn, """"The Goat House"""", and working on Ford trucks for his grandsons. He experienced his first NASCAR Race in 2008 with his family. He was a good man and touched the hearts of many people.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Royals; a sister, Carolyn J. Seal; brother-in-law, Jerry Seal; and grandparents, Neely and Victoria Cuevas.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Joyce Royals; his nephew and son by heart, Paul Seal and his wife, Christy,; his grandsons, Austin, 12, Dustin, 8, and Justin, 5; his father, Marvin Royals and his wife, Gail; sisters, Judy Lizana and her husband, Peanut; Cindy Darby and her husband, Rene; Denise Woodcock and her husband, Timmy; Uncle Neely """"Jr."""" Cuevas; nieces and nephews, Tammy, Carol, Wayne, Jerry, Desiree, Randy, Veronica, Nicholas, Mindy, Misty, Victoria and her husband, Phillip, Brittany, and Jantzen; 20 great-nieces and great nephews; and two more on the way.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 12113 Highway 49, Gulfport, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
