Georgia Phillips

Georgia Sarah Phillips, age 91, of Gulfport died on October 29, 2007 in Ridgeland MS.
Georgia was born in Bradford TN, on December 26, 1915.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudd Phillips, her parents Leonard and Gertrude Davidson and step mother, Mattie Davidson of Newman IL, four sisters, Mary Evelyn Vin Camp of Chicago IL, Sarah Dreher, Geraldine Dreher and Charlene Grygiel, all of Danville IL, one brother Marshall Davidson of Rantoul IL, and son-in-law, Jimmie Gilbert of Spartanburg SC.
She is survived by her son Michael (Linda) Phillips of Madison MS, daughter Linda Gilbert of Spartanburg SC, brother Colin (Frances) Davidson of Newman IL, sister Shirley (Dale) Stebens of Clinton IO, four grandsons, Zachary, Wesley and Chad Phillips of Madison MS, Matt Gilbert of Atlanta GA, and two granddaughters Beckie (Johnny) Gill of Biloxi MS and Angela (Matt) Pulliam of Madison MS.
Georgia was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, the Beta Sigma Phi
Sorority, the Lofty Oaks Garden Club, the Sunshine Guild, and the Starlets Dance Club of Biloxi which entertained at many of the nursing homes in the area. She especially enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 12-1pm at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11266 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport MS, followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
Serving as pallbearers are Zachary, Wesley, and Chad Phillips, Matt Pulliam, Matt Gilbert, and Morgan Saucier.
