George William Wasson, II, age 58, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on April 21, 2017.
He was born in Bay St. Louis, MS at Hancock Hospital previously known as Kings Daughters and Sons Hospital. George served in the Navy from 1977 to 1982, attended boot camp in San Diego, CA, and then served as a medic at South Weymouth, MA. He worked in construction but his main interest was music and he described himself as a musician and song writer. He learned to play his first song on small kids guitar that he got for Christmas and rarely was without a guitar after that.
George was preceded in death by his father, William Gary Wasson, Wichita, KS.
He is survived by his wife, Christal Elaine Brown Wasson, Tampa FL; his mother and stepfather, Roberta Eleanor Williams Clark and James Douglas Clark, Long Beach, MS; his daughters, Lorraine Phillips Evatt and Stormy Phillips Breeding, of Middleburg, FL, and Amber Catherine Wasson Clark, of Long Beach, MS; his 4 grandchildren of Middleburg, FL; a step-son, Jordin Brown, Gulfport, MS; a step-daughter, Janisha Brown, Tampa, FL; his loving sisters, Noel Cassandra Wasson, Long Beach, MS; Jennifer Deidre Burge (Roger), Cold Spring, KY, and Krystal Dawn Whitehouse (Brian), Springfield, VA; 6 nephews, 1 niece, and many aunts, uncles, and very dear cousins.
