George Wright

George L Wright, age 78, died peacefully at his home in Pass Christian, Mississippi, surrounded by people that he loved on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 4:03 PM.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan C. Wright; his parents, George D., and Lois A. Wright; his son, Tracey D. Wright; brother, David L. Wright; and his sister, Maxine DeRoche.

Between them they had 5 remaining children, Carrie Howe, Mark Schiel, Tammy Bumpus, Sheila Walter, and William Grant. They had 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives.

Mr. Wright was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a resident of Pass Christian for the past 21 years. He received his bachelor’s degree from USL in Lafayette, Louisiana. He spent 26 years in the Denver Area where he met his wife, Joan. He was the happiest with his family and friends and enjoyed boating. On Sundays, after church, he loved football.  He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Pass Christian. He retired as an Animal Nutritionist.

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Bible Fellowship Church, 7030 Menge Ave., Pass Christian. A private burial will precede the memorial, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Mississippi.
