George "G.T." Thomas Long

George “G.T.” Thomas Long, age 28, passed away on August 29, 2024, in Vancleave, MS.

Born at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, he graduated from Vancleave High School in 2014. G.T. had a passion for boating, music, food, and Harley Davidsons. He loved spending time at the river, swimming, camping, and enjoying the great outdoors. Known for his charming personality, he was a big flirt and had a particular fondness for blondes. A devoted Saints fan, he cherished watching football games.

He is survived by his mom/grandmother, Pat Long (Billy Shimp “Paw Paw”) of Vancleave; grandfather, Edmond Long of Oklahoma; biological mother, Amie Marie Parks; siblings, Shawn Long and Theresa Catchot (Jacob); niece, Emmaree Catchot; nephew, Braxton Catchot; and numerous other extended loved ones and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on September 15th at 4301 Kenneth Coal Road Vancleave, MS 39565. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Elks Lodge (Biloxi - 606) 1178 Beach Boulevard (Highway 90) Biloxi MS 39530-3631.
