George Grissom

George Glenn Grissom, age 65, of Biloxi, passed away on May 6, 2008 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Martha Ann Grissom; his brothers, Herbert Grissom, Roy Grissom, Melburn Grissom, Phillip Edward Grissom, Moody Grissom, Rex Grissom, John Grissom, and Robert Grissom; and two great nephews, Phillip Edward Grissom and Clyde Kenneth Study, III.
Mr. Grissom is survived by his wife, Cathy Austin Grissom, of Biloxi; two children, Sherry Morton and her husband, Ken, of Saucier, and Carrie Grissom of Biloxi; his sisters, Phyllis Levens and her husband, Terry, of Gulfport, and Doris Smith and her husband, Virgil, of Millington, TN; four grandchildren, Kailey Morton and Rivers Morton, both of Saucier, Alyssa Peterson of Gulfport, and Elijah Peterson of Biloxi; and numerous other family members and close friends.
He was a member of Gulfport Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Grissom retired from Civil Service at the Seabee Base after 33 years and was currently employed at Utility Partners.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Conn Cemetery, Long Beach.
