Our beloved husband, father and friend, George Meisner Conwill (""Buster""), passed peacefully into God's hands Friday, September 30, 2011.
George was born on March 28, 1939, to Daniel Oza Conwill III and Olga Marie Meisner in Gulfport MS, where he resided most of his life. A 1957 graduate of Gulfport High, he attended the University of Mississippi, graduating in 1965 with a degree in business administration. After 11 years with the IRS, George decided to go into business for himself, becoming a very hard-working and successful CPA. He was very well liked.
He leaves behind so many broken hearts, too numerous to mention all. Most especially is his beloved wife and constant companion of 49 years, Gayle Elizabeth Clark Conwill, mother of their six children: George Geoffrey Conwill, Laurie Conwlll Sumrall (Bill), George Christopher Conwill (Veronica), Jennifer Conwill Ezelle (Ty), Celine Conwill Fortenberry (Thomas) of Charlotte, NC and George Jason Clark Conwill. Except for the aforementioned, all reside on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. George is survived also by very many beloved relatives and friends, not least of which is his dear brother and original best friend, D. O. Conwill IV (Adrienne) of Pass Christian, MS. He was the proud ""Paw-Paw"" to Chris, Alex, Jana, Colton, Emily, Rheanne, Barry and Jamison.
Having lost his own father at a very early age, George strove to be the best father and provider he could, always giving and forgiving. He was a warm, kind, funny man, who could make you laugh to warm your heart.
