George Franklin Boyette

George Franklin Boyette, age 94, a native of Tippah County, MS and a resident of Woolmarket, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Gulfport.
Mr. Boyette was preceded in death by his parents, G.W. and Virgie Paseur Boyette; and 13 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Colleen Tapp Boyette of Woolmarket; his children, Dennis (Roxanna) Boyette of Guntersville, AL, Denise (Wade) Monroe and Dale (Cynthia) Boyette both of Woolmarket; and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Boyette moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1936 and served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. After the war, he married and worked with his brothers in the logging business. Later he worked as a longshoreman where he retired after 20 years. He was a charter member of the Woolmarket Baptist Church.
He loved hunting, fishing and visiting with family and friends. His first love though was farming and gardening. He had a passion for growing vegetables and was the envy of many gardeners. His green thumb continued up until about a year ago. His vegetables and especially his tomatoes will be missed by many. An imperfect man of few words, he knew his treasures were waiting in heaven.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Woolmarket Baptist Church, Woolmarket with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service. Interment will follow in Coalville Cemetery, Woolmarket.
