George L. Baker, age 61, of Moundville, AL, formerly of Gulfport, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 in Gulfport.
Mr. Baker was a longtime employee of Jacob Technology and was looking forward to retirement and spending time with his family. He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, canoeing, and collecting petrified wood.
He was preceded in death byhis father, George Lonzo Baker, his step-father J.C. Cook, 2 brothers, James Baker, and Robert Baker and a sister, Mary Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda A. Baker, Moundville, AL; 2 sons: Chris (Mandy) Baker, and Tony Baker; his mother, Mary Cook, all of Gulfport, his siblings: Estelle Tolley, Lonzo Baker, and Gerald Baker, 6 grandchildren: Michael, Jacob, Gracie, and Ashlyn Baker, Ashton Serpas, and Sarah Davis, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 6:00 - 9:00pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa, AL.
