George Adams, Jr., age 71, passed away on September 24, 2018 in Biloxi, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Adams; parents, George Adams, Sr. and Shirley Adams; son, David Sloan II; and grandparents, Irvin and Christine Adams and Ora Mary Savoie.
He is survived by his two children, Dana M. Leonard (Jason) and Cherie M. Adams, both of Biloxi; sisters, Pamela Adams Cooper, Cheryl Adams Baltise (Jerry), Mary Adams Clark (Cliff), and four brothers, Mikey Adams, Sr. (Karen), Dennis J. Adams, Sr. (Rita), Russell M. Adams, Sr., and Tyrone J. Adams.
He worked as a commercial fisherman during his earlier years. He also loved to fish the freshwaters of Mississippi for bass and was a member of the Southern Pride Bass Fishing Club for over 20 years. He and his family were all members of St. Louis Catholic Church in Biloxi, until it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. His favorite time of the year was the holidays, especially Christmas, where he enjoyed eating with his family. He was an animal lover and loved his dogs and cats.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 5:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd at Washington Ave., West Jackson County, with a visitation for family and friends from 3:00 PM until service time. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Reception Center.
