Gene Lawson

Gene Lawson, age 84, of Gulfport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Lorraine Lawson; his sisters, Sally Marie Dunsford and Linda Faye Byrd; and his grandson, Miles Cooper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patricia Pope Lawson; his children, Jacquie West (Patrick) and Josh Lawson (Tiffany); his stepchildren, James Cooper, and Tammy Feely (Wesley); his grandchildren, Jenny, Gabby, Austin, Sarah, Ashley and Aaron; his siblings, Ray Lawson (Gloria Jean) and Patsy Cobb (Joe); and great-grandchildren, Leyton, Logan, Jaclynn, Elijah.

Gene was a native of Flomaton, AL, and was a resident of Gulfport, MS, since 1983. He was a car salesman having worked at many auto dealerships along the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 35 years. Gene enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time in his garden.
