Gene W. Coker, age 84 of Biloxi, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
Gene was born in Trenton, Tennessee and was raised in Biscoe, NC. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 after 20 years of service. In 1979 Gene graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor degree in Science. He was the owner of Coker Pest Control and Coker Heating and Air Conditioning for forty five years. Gene loved his work and everyone, especially his customers, and was very dedicated to them. He never met a stranger and was very kind hearted. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Gene also enjoyed motor sports, especially dirt bike riding and jet skiing with his son and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Alexander Coker and Bertha (Sewell) Coker; siblings, Alton Coker, Travis Coker, Wade Coker, Pauline Crowder, and Marie Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly; and their son, Steven.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be Monday, September 24, 2018, in Plant City, FL.
