Gaston Ory

Gaston L. "Junior" Ory, Jr., age 84, of Dedeaux, passed away on August 17, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaston Ory, Sr. and Veronica Owen; and 2 sisters, Betty Joyce Franke and Mary Louise Jordan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ola Mae Ory; 1 son, Chris (Marcia) Ory; 4 grandchildren, Brittany Sick (Kyle), Alicia Ory (Sam Spiers), Kelsey Cortney (Jason), and Laci Davis (Chris); 15 great-grandchildren, Gracey Williams, McKinsley Williams, Kemper Sick, Joby Sick, Branton Necaise, Kolt Langston, Adalyn Langston, Blaize Spiers, Alexis Courtney, Kaden Welford, Eliana Courtney, Kollin Smith, Faith Courtney, Kinzlee Davis, and Kyler Davis; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Ory was proud Army veteran serving during the Korean War.  He owned and operated Alexander Pool Company for 51 years.  He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux and was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12331.  He was a founding board member of the Standard-Dedeaux Water Association and he was a devoted husband for 64 years to his wife Ola Mae.  Mr. Ory was faithful to the community and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 12 - 2 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm in the church.  Interment will be in Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
