Gary Glen Robinson of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away, peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Gary was born in Gulfport at King's Daughters Hospital on May 7, 1938, to Eddie Brown Robinson and Doris Randall Robinson. He had three younger brothers, Ronald Robinson, Donald Robinson, and Maurice Robinson.
They grew up in San Antonio, Texas before returning to Gulfport during High School. Gary married the love of his life, Barbara Williams in 1960. They recently celebrated 64 years together.
Gary was a gifted athlete; he loved football, baseball, and all things Ole Miss Rebels. Always an avid outdoorsman, Gary loved to fish, and he spent much of his time tending to the family farm in Perkinston. He loved nature, planting trees, and feeding the deer. He was a devoted baseball card collector and was proud to show and tell anybody who shared his passion. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful father, an exceptional grandfather, and had recently become a great grandfather.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Robinson, his son, Terry (Virginia) Robinson, his daughter, Tracey (Steve Novak); his grandchildren, Katherine (Jake) Rea, Ben (Kelsey) Robinson, Emily Robinson, William Robinson, Steven (Mikaela) Novak, Alex Novak and Matthew Novak, and his great-grandchildren, Benjamin Robinson, Ryan Robinson, and Samuel Rea.
A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, October 26,2024 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport is serving the family.
