Gary Eugene Millsapp

March 11, 1946 — February 26, 2012

Gary Eugene Millsapp, 65, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at home, (surrounded by his loved ones) after a prolonged illness.
Born in Chicago, IL on March 11, 1946 to Irene Millsapp and Patrick Bryant, he attended high school and grammar school on the south side of Chicago. After high school, he was drafted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam, where he drove supply trucks throughout the war zone. He was honorably discharged in 1967. After returning to civilian life, he was employed as an over the road professional driver. He drove trucks for various companies and railroads until he retired.
Gary was a lover of life--he loved good food, music, movies, and just having a good time in general. He could often be heard singing along to his favorite artists. He was a movie fanatic, watching movies of all genres, and he loved visiting amusement parks.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Patricia; and son, Baron.
Gary is survived by his children, Joyce, Deena, Gary Mario (Kim), Jamal, Krishna (Rome IV), Angie, Wesley, and Gary, Jr. He is also survived in his grandchildren, Shakidra, Cleon, Elicia, Gary, Jr., Krishna, Jamal, Asia, Amber, Kyle, Rome V, Ryne, Cole, Jamarion, Dajante, Tahj, Cayden, Minkah, Imani; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews, Craig and Bruce; and a host of friends.
He will be laid to rest a the Biloxi National Cemetery, and will be forever loved.
