Gary W. Gipson, age 61, a resident of Kiln passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Gipson was a lifelong resident of Hancock County. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 152 in Perkinston. Mr. Gipson was the owner/operator of Gipson Home Improvements and has concentrated his recent efforts on helping flood victims get back in their homes. He loved gardening, fishing and playing pool. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Gipson is preceded in death by his father Carl Gipson, Sr., his mother Mary Louise Gipson, a sister Sandra Fay Gipson, a brother Elbert Lee Gipson, sons Gary Gipson, Jr. and Jerry """"J-Bird"""" Gipson, and his grandson Brian Gipson.
He is survived by his loving wife Juanita R. Gipson of Kiln; three daughters Tammy Chifici of Sevierville, TN, Amy Deal of Waveland, and Tonja Meyers of Kiln; four sisters, Rose Perkins of Bay St. Louis, Linda Wyman, Ramona Lopez of San Antonio, TX, and Karen Cagle of Pass Christian; five brothers, John Gipson of Bay St. Louis, Carl Gipson, Jr., James Gipson of Bay St. Louis, Ronnie Gipson of W. Palm Beach, FL and David Gipson of Saucier; nine grandchildren, Kristen Gipson, Colby Gibson, Tangy Chifici, Taylor Heim, P.J. Heim, Tony Chifici, Jr., Terra Warren, Dylan Boles, and Olivia Tamborella; he is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd. chapel, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting two hours prior to services. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory in Bay St. Louis. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis.
