Gary Lee Dunn

Gary Lee Dunn, age 64, of Gulfport, passed away on September 22, 2010, in Gulfport.
Gary was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Architecture, and lived most of his life in Gulfport, which he called home. Here, he established his firm Dunn & Associates, P.A., and enjoyed many years of practicing his love for architecture. One of his greatest personal rewards was mentoring many young people who shared the same passion for architecture. When he was not spending free time with his family, he enjoyed playing golf and fishing in his bass boat. He was an active member in the Mississippi City Lions Club and a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church. Gary was a loving and kind family man, who always put his family first.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dunn and Maxine Dunn of Omaha, NE.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Dunn; his son, Matt (Marlane) Dunn of Tupelo; his daughters, Lindsey (Billy) Baronich of Biloxi, and Ellen Dunn of Gulfport; his sister, Carole (Gene) McCurley; his brother, Michael Dunn; grandchildren, Erin Claire Dunn, Ethan Dunn, Ainsleigh Dunn, Parker Baronich, Jordan Baronich, and Jessica Baronich; beloved nieces, Barb (Alan) Hove, Angie (Shawn) Globe, and Lynn (Nathan) Kleinmeyer; and other numerous special family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010, at 6:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Mississippi City Lions Club or Mississippi City United Methodist Church.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Edwin Davidson, Dr. Micheal Lewis, and Dr. Joseph Cottone for their special care.
