Garey D. Simants, age 56, resident of Ocean Springs passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Ocean Springs.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Vickie Simants; his parents, Carl and Carrie Simants; his sons, Michael and wife Stephanie, Christofer and wife Kelly, Scott and wife Ioka, and Dylan; his brothers, Rick and wife Rona, Mark and wife Peggy, and Scott and wife Janna; and his seven grandchildren.
He was born in Denver, CO and has been a resident of the Gulf Coast for 19 years.
Garey recently retired from Keesler Air Force Base after a 35 year career in weather. His hobbies included reading, history, and golf.

A memorial service will be held November 22, 2011 at 4:00 pm, with a visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 2755 Bienville Blvd, Ocean Springs. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
